Farm Today (FAT) is a non-profit and non-governmental association that was established on August1st, 2016.the Association was founded by a group of agricultural specialists and project management experts with an overall objective of supporting and developing poor small scale farmers and by providing training and technical support on best agricultural practices thus, promoting sustainable developme
nt to poor farmers’ households. Farm today is based in kismayo-Jubaland state of Somalia and has ability to implement agricultural development projects in collaboration with national and international agencies. It was created as a response to the lack of agricultural infrastructures from the chaos of the following unrest in 1992, which caused the collapse and destruction of Somali farming and agricultural systems. Farm Today is mandated to combat hunger and rural poverty in the low-income food-deficit regions of Somalia and to improve the livelihoods of rural poor people on a sustainable basis.
