A delegation led by the Deputy Director of the Healthcare Foundation Somalia conducted an assessment visit today to areas under Jowhar district to evaluate the impact of drought, healthcare, education, and water accessibility.
During the visit, the delegation reached the village of , located 16km west of Jowhar, one of the areas severely affected by water scarcity and drought. Local residents expressed deep concerns about the challenges they face, particularly in accessing clean water, healthcare, and essential services.
Officials visiting the drought-affected areas stated that the purpose of the assessment was to identify urgent needs and address the prevailing challenges. They also pledged to compile an official report based on their findings, which will contribute to formulating sustainable solutions to alleviate the difficulties faced by the community.
