It is a global honor that has previously been bestowed upon Presidents, Kings, Princes, Prime Ministers and prominent world leaders, including former US President George W. Today, a new chapter in history has been written. I express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to the Prime Minister of Israel, Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu, the State of Israel and the people of Israel, who have become the first country in 35 years to officially recognize the Republic of Somaliland as an independent state with its own sovereignty, independence and full right to self-determination.

This courageous decision confirms the resilience, political maturity and aspiration of the people of the Republic of Somaliland for peace, democracy and the right to self-determination. The people of Somaliland will never forget this historic step based on friendship, mutual respect and genuine understanding.

We believe that Somaliland and Israel will build a deep and lasting partnership, based on mutual respect, security, progress, innovation and partnership that serves the interests of both peoples.

It is also a great pleasure for me that the Republic of Somaliland and the State of Israel have officially signed the Strategic Declaration on Bilateral Cooperation. This historic partnership lays the foundation for a lasting strategic relationship, strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the areas of Agriculture, Water, Security, Technology, Investment and Infrastructure Development.

This is a historic victory for the people of the Republic of Somaliland, and an event that will leave a lasting mark that will not be erased from the pages of our national history.

Thank God. Somaliland has won.

This visit marks the opening of a new chapter in the relations between our two nations Republican of Somaliland and Israel

The thoughtful arrangements, substantive discussions, and spirit of mutual respect witnessed throughout the visit have laid a firm foundation for enhanced cooperation and partnership

We welcome the agreement in principle to pursue formal arrangements in key areas of mutual interest, including economic cooperation, water security, communications, and agricultural development

These initiatives will promote sustainable development, bolster food and water resilience, stimulate private-sector opportunities, and deepen ties between our peoples.

Below are two updated polished options that incorporate the agreement to open Somaliland’s pilgrimage to the Holy City of Jerusalem.
