GAME is a partnership-based international youth organization focusing on street sports to empower youth. Show respect!

SCORE Initiative is a youth-centered organization empowering young people across Somaliland to lead lasting community change through sports, culture, and civic participation. In Somaliland, GAME works with its primary local partners; SCORE, a like-minded youth empowerment sports organization implementing GAME’s methodology, and SOCSA (Somaliland Community Support Association) which is a women-led sports organization. GAME is a Top 150 NGO based in Denmark, with nearly 20 years of experience and delivering in 10 countries empowering youth from vulnerable urban areas and refugee settings. Together, with exceptional financial and advisory support from CISU of Denmark, this partnership is improving the capacity of all Somaliland partners and GAME. The two organizations, GAME and SCORE, have also recently partnered with Novid Nordic Foundation (NNF) to extend their reach to the displaced communities living in camps in Hargeisa. Empowering Youth Through Market Assessment Training!
Under the LTF Project, young people in Somaliland are being equipped with practical skills to understand local labor markets and identify real livelihood opportunities. Through hands-on market assessment training, youth are learning to research, analyze, and map out pathways to sustainable income- putting them at the center of shaping their own economic futures.
This is more than training - it's about building a generation of informed, empowered changemakers.

Presenting Youth-Led Pilot Projects in Climate Adaptation, 40 participants from Climate Adaptation Committees, local host communities, and IDP communities came together to showcase youth-led pilot projects implemented in IDP camps.

The session provided a platform for young people to present the initiatives they have designed and implemented to address climate-related challenges, strengthen community resilience, and promote sustainable adaptation practices. Participants reflected on key achievements, lessons learned, and the impact of these projects on both IDP and host communities.

The event highlighted the important role of youth as leaders and innovators in advancing climate adaptation efforts and fostering resilient communities in Hargeisa.

Youth climate ambassadors in Burao recently presented the results of their pilot climate adaptation projects implemented in Koosaar and Cali Xuseen IDP camps. The initiatives included clearing invasive Garanwaa trees, cleaning a 2KM road, and planting trees to improve the camp environment. The session brought together community members, camp leaders, and youth to reflect on the impact of the projects and discuss the role of youth in community climate action.

Day 1: Scaling Y-LEAD Climate Solutions

We kicked off a two-day workshop with youth groups from IDP camps and host communities in Hargeisa and Burao.

These groups were selected from a larger cohort, who previously developed and submitted climate adaptation ideas, with winning ideas chosen by the Climate Action Committees and camp leaders.

Day one focused on refining and operationalizing their climate adaptation projects to turn ideas into practical solutions for IDP settings.
