SOS Childrenโs Villages Somaliland commemorated the National Tree Planting Day through the implementation of a large-scale tree planting initiative. ๐ข๐ป ๐ญ๐ฑ ๐๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ถ๐น ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ, the Climate Smart Farming (Green Project) conducted a coordinated tree planting activity at Cosob Demonstration Farm, 18 May Primary School, and five internally displaced community areas, including Malawle, in Hargeisa, Somaliland. ๐ ๐๐ผ๐๐ฎ๐น ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฑ๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฒ seedlings were planted and distributed as part of this significant environmental effort.
The activity was led by the Green Project Coordinator, Ahmed Hussein.
The event was attended by senior officials, including the Hub Director for Somaliland and Djibouti, Mustafe Haji Adow; National Programme Development Manager, Idiris Abdi Hersi; National Technical Advisor, Mire Mohamed Hussein; and National FD Manager, Abdirahman Hassan, alongside other officials and staff members and youth participants.
