The Youth Strength Association recently conducted a field visit to one of the displacement camps in Garowe to assess the living conditions of the residents. The purpose of the visit was to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by internally displaced families, particularly in key areas such as healthcare, access to clean water, basic living conditions, and education.
During the visit, the team observed significant gaps in essential services, with many families lacking adequate healthcare support and reliable access to safe drinking water. The living conditions were also found to be difficult, with limited shelter and basic necessities. In addition, access to education for children in the camp remains a major concern, as resources and facilities are insufficient.
The Youth Strength Association emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among stakeholders to address these urgent needs and improve the overall well-being of the affected communities.
