The disappearance and degradation of frankincense forests is not simply an environmental issue.

It is also a story about livelihoods, traditional knowledge, climate pressure, changing land use, and the future of communities that have depended on these trees for generations

We must protect it because it is the livelihood of Somali families.

🚨 Quick update — the Tugga Watershed campaign is now live on Ma Earth 🌱

Dryland Solutions is raising support for community-led restoration in the Nugaal Valley, Somalia.

This work is focused on restoring land and water in a dry dryland region—helping communities rebuild soils, bring back native vegetation, harvest rainwater, and strengthen local food systems.

The work is already happening on the ground through a living demonstration site, and now it’s expanding to the wider watershed.

What makes this round different is Quadratic Funding — it means it’s not just the size of the donation, but how many people take part that increases the match.

Even small contributions like €1, €5, or $10 help increase the total impact when more people join in.
