It’s incredible to see how far we’ve come. One conversation at the Mustardseed Trust Jamboree in Nice May 2025 sparked this idea. Now, almost a year later, the initial seaweed assessment is complete, and we’re now turning the assessment into practical action on the ground.

In 2022, Dryland Solutions received its first major support from Caritas Somalia. At a time when our vision was just beginning to take shape, this wonderful organization believed in our mission and offered their trust when we needed it most.

Their support enabled us to launch our very first Permaculture Design Course, marking the start of a journey that has shaped everything we've accomplished since. We remain deeply grateful for their early partnership and the foundation they helped us build.

Regenerosity Stories
In the Togga Watershed area of Garowe, Puntland State, Somalia, Yasmin Mohamud is nurturing regeneration through shared learning and rooted practice. Through the African Women & Youth Regenerative Fund’s second cycle, she led the Nurturing Roots of Change project, establishing a community tree nursery and training women and youth in propagation, nursery care, and regenerative land practices.

Together, participants planted indigenous trees such as baobab, frankincense, and myrrh, alongside fruit crops and vegetables to strengthen food security and nutrition. With school gardens, a community garden, and hands-on training at the center of the work, Yasmin’s project builds practical skills while supporting long-term climate resilience shaped by local knowledge and care.

The African Women & Youth Regenerative Fund (AWYRF), led by local and regional leaders, supported by a global regenerative network and resourced through Regenerosity’s Seed Flow Funds ecosystem, is introducing ten emerging leaders in its second collaborative Flow Fund cycle. The Fund strengthens women’s leadership in regenerative farming, food security, and climate resilience - creating community-led pathways for restoration and renewal. 🌿
