We are not just planting trees — we are raising a generation that understands and protects the environment.

Our project is empowering 3,000 students by providing 6,000 Moringa and Leucaena seedlings (two per student) to be planted both at school and at home.

🌳 Why these trees matter:
• Moringa supports nutrition and health
• Leucaena improves soil fertility and provides animal feed

As part of our rapid drought assessment in East Mudug, Horn Nature Conservation met with the Godog Village Committee and conducted a detailed community walk-through across the village and surrounding farm fields to assess the real conditions on the ground.
What we witnessed is alarming:

💧 Severe water shortages
🐪 Livestock collapsing and dying
🌾 Crop failure
🍽 Families sleeping hungry
👶 Rising child and maternal malnutrition

Communities have lost income, milk production has declined, and local markets are struggling. Survival has become the daily focus.

This is not just drought.
It is a growing humanitarian emergency.

Immediate support for water, food, and livestock is urgently needed.
