SFDF primarily targets disadvantage youth in the age group of 8 to 25 years old. SFDF interacts with other NGOs and governments institution that uses the social and educational potential of sport for youth development; nevertheless, skilled local personnel in sports, youth and educational institutions and departments, football coaches, social workers and peer leaders play crucial roles as intermed
iaries. SFDF programs not only engages with disadvantaged youth but also disabled youth, empowering them with skills to positively develop their personality and character, thus increasing opportunities to tackle their life and enhancing a strong civil society. The SFDF program has four components:
1. Youth education through organized football
2. Inclusion and empowerment of girls and women through football
3. Football for social development
4. Fostering partnerships, networking, awareness and knowledge sharing
