Aid Diversion Awareness
Baidoa, 26 January 2026.

Daryeel Relief and Development Organization conducted an aid diversion awareness session for internally displaced persons. The activity reached 380 women and 170 men from different displacement sites, reinforcing the message that humanitarian assistance is always provided free of charge and must reach it's intended beneficiaries, without diversion or misuse.

Daryeel Relief and Development Organization has a zero-tolerance policy for aid diversion and abuse.

All humanitarian assistance must be delivered honestly and respectfully to the people who need it.

Drought Situation:

Due to ongoing drought, which has caused the displacement of many people from villages under The Bay Region, water scarcity has continued to worsen.

Currently, the most urgent need is access to safe water.

During January 2026, approximately 1,258 newly displaced people arrived in the city of Baidoa.

Many camps hosting thousands of people are now in urgent need of emergency water trucking support.

As a member of Civil Sociaty Reference Group Under the Women Peace and Protection "WPP" in Somalia. By supporting UN-women and UNDP, we have done an Advocacy meeting for empowering women's political participation in Somalia. "Kulanka u Qareemista iyo Dhiirigelinta Haweenka ee kaqaybgalka siyaasada Somalia".

and we done High - level visits, including senior government officials, religious leaders, and women's leaders in Dhuusamareeb, Galgaduud Region, Galmudug State, Somalia.
