Lifeline Gedo Saving Human lives LLG has its head office in the Gedo region, operations and logistics offices in Mandera and correspondence and liaison offices in Nairobi.

LLG is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that responds to humanitarian emergencies with lifesaving support mechanisms in partnership with national and international stakeholders, promotes peace, advocates against all types of violence, and initiates long-term and short-term development projects. On the 20th of October 2005, LLG was founded by a group of Somali elites from the

Gedo region, in the districts of Belet Hawa and Elwak, in response to the humanitarian crisis that claimed many lives and properties. Additionally, we have representatives and fundraising offices in Australia, the United States, Canada, and Europe.

Our Executive Director Abdifatah Ahmed attended high level panel discussion on Preventing Child Wasting in a Changing Climate.

During the session, Abdifatah stressed how the climate crisis is severely impacting communities in the Gedo region, driving child malnutrition and vulnerability. He voiced the importance of locally led approaches to build resilience and protect children’s futures.
