🌱 Promoting Green Growth in Dhobley
Dhobley Women Association, supported by Saferworld and the European Union 🇪🇺, again successfully distributed 823 fruit trees across Dhobley town to strengthen environmental sustainability and community resilience. The initiative aims to promote household nutrition, expand green cover, and support long-term climate adaptation within the district.

The Dhobley Deputy District Commissioner joined the distribution event and commended the Women Association and Saferworld for their continued efforts in empowering communities and protecting the environment.

This activity represents another step toward a greener, healthier Dhobley where families benefit from fruit-bearing trees and increased environmental awareness.

Dhobley Women Association, with support from Saferworld and the European Union 🇪🇺, officially handed over essential office equipment to the Dhobley District OP Desk today. The package included a new computer, printers, office chairs, 10 small office chairs an office desk, and OB books for improved documentation and service delivery at the Dhobley Police Station.

The Dhobley Deputy District Commissioner and the Police Commander attended the ceremony and expressed their sincere appreciation for this important support. This handover marks a significant step toward enhancing efficiency, accountability, and community trust in local policing.

Together for a safer, stronger Dhobley.

Dhobley Women Association, in partnership with CARE, Somali Women Study Centre (SWSC), and UKAID, conducted an awareness training session in Camp Kafi, Camp Danwadaag, and Dhobley Town in September 2025. The training focused on empowering communities to break stigma and foster acceptance by promoting positive attitudes toward GBV survivors, unaccompanied children, and former CAAFAG. Participants actively engaged in discussions on women and girls’ rights, community support mechanisms, and strategies to combat discrimination and stigma. The session was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen community protection and gender equality initiatives in Dhobley District.
