Cause Première

Cause Première is a southern Senegalese NGO with over 18 years of experience working with women and children.

Cause Première was founded in response to the escalation of the Casamance Conflict in January 1995. Based in Ziguinchor in the southern portion of Senegal, Cause Première was recognized as an Association by the Ministry of Interior in 1997, attained NGO status from the Senegalese government in 2003, and was granted Special Consultative Status by ECOSOC in 2010. rocess of transforming the organization, which seeks to improve our effectiveness and efficiency in delivering projects to the local community.
