Wellbody Alliance Wellbody Alliance delivers healthcare and advances human rights in Kono District, Sierra Leone.

Wellbody works with health professionals, local government, global health experts and communities to provide high-quality healthcare to Sierra Leone's poor. Our many activities include the following:

• Operation of a primary care clinic, and partnership projects with public hospitals and remote health outposts. In 2008, we provided 2000 patient visits; currently, we provide care at over 20,000 p

atient visits per year.

• Training and support for a corp of community healthworkers who monitor and provide psychosocial support to HIV-positive patients, pregnant women, and amputees. These dedicated healthworkers are the basis for an effective healthcare system that extends from patients' homes to medical facilities.

• Programs that target the upstream determinants of health, including
community education initiatives, chronic disease screenings, and microfinance programs designed to provide individuals with meaningful, life-sustaining work.
