Cataract Screening Update

The cataract screening exercise successfully ended on 28th February, with 150 people screened. Out of this number, 46 patients have qualified for cataract surgery.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Choithram Memorial Hospital for extending a helping hand to the people of Kono District through this life-changing initiative.

Special thanks also go to Kono Medical Outreach Team (KoMOT), Touch of Grace International, and the dedicated staff of Kono Eye Clinic for their collaboration and commitment in making this screening successful.

We kindly ask all patients who have qualified for surgery to remain patient. You will be contacted very soon with further information about the next steps.

Together, we are restoring sight and hope in our communities. 👁️

The long awaiting Maternal centre of excellence (MCOE) has finally open.

Yesterday ( 14th February 2026) we witnessed this historic milestone in the health sector in Sierra Leone, a clear show of commitment for reduction of Maternal mortality and infant mortality.

Expect nothing but excellence as long as Kono is leading the way.

Many thanks to partners in health and the government of Sierra Leone for this great work, the people Kono and by extension the people of Sierra Leone can't appreciate you more.

Kono deserves it like never before: The time is now.

Today’s workout was truly special 💪🏾

I unexpectedly met a longtime friend from my 2021 fitness journey. We had gone our separate ways because of distance, but today—by pure coincidence—we reunited on the hills of D. O Barrack in Koidu City.

It was fun, refreshing, and motivating. Lots of laughter, thousands of footsteps, and plenty of calories burnt 🔥👟

Moments like this remind me that fitness is not just about the body, but also about connections. I hope we reunite again and keep pushing forward on this journey.
