SUBJECT: Official Clarification on the Status of Actress Mamie Destiny Jaward

It has come to my notice that a group of individuals within the Western Area Rural District has purportedly issued a ban against one of our registered actresses, Mamie Destiny Jaward.

I want to make it unequivocally clear to the general public, film stakeholders, and all production houses that no individual, collective, or independent group has the mandate or legal right to ban or suspend any actor from practicing their profession in Sierra Leone without the direct involvement and authorization of the Actors Guild Sierra Leone (AGSL).

The AGSL is the governing body responsible for the welfare, regulation, and discipline of actors across the nation. While we maintain the utmost respect for all film institutions, chapters, and community structures, constitutional protocol must be strictly observed.

Consequently, the leadership of the Guild hereby issues the following directives:

(a) Immediate Reinstatement: With immediate effect, Mamie Destiny Jaward is not under any form of suspension or ban. She is fully cleared to participate in any film audition, production, or industry-related activity across the country.

(b) Official Grievance Redress: If any group or individual feels aggrieved or offended by Miss Jaward, you are advised to submit a formal, written complaint to our headquarters:

(c) Commitment to Justice: Upon receipt of any formal report, the Guild guarantees that the matter will be investigated and handled with absolute fairness, transparency, and justice for all parties involved.

Going forward, let it be known that Mamie Destiny Jaward remains an actor in good standing with the Guild. We urge all filmmakers and producers to continue working with her without fear of interference.

Let us continue to work together to build a disciplined, united, and professional film industry in Sierra Leone.
