Today marks another important milestone for Rising Roots Youth Union as members of our organization proudly participated in the West Africa Internet Governance Forum 2026 held in Freetown, Sierra Leone 🇸🇱
The forum brought together policymakers, innovators, students, entrepreneurs, digital experts, and youth leaders from across West Africa to discuss critical topics shaping the future of our digital world, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, digital inclusion, internet governance, online safety, innovation, and the role of technology in national and regional development.
As a youth-driven organization, we believe that empowering young people with knowledge, exposure, and opportunities in technology is essential for building a stronger and more innovative future. Attending WAIGF 2026 was not just about being present at a conference — it was about learning, networking, sharing ideas, and understanding how young people can actively contribute to the digital transformation of Africa.
We are proud to see members of Rising Roots Youth Union taking steps toward leadership, innovation, and positive impact within the technology space. Experiences like this continue to inspire us to dream bigger, learn more, and prepare ourselves to become future leaders and changemakers in our communities and beyond.
