Today, we proudly unveil and recognize the I AM ELISA FOUNDATION for its remarkable contribution toward women empowerment, girls’ development, advocacy, and community transformation in Sierra Leone.

I AM ELISA FOUNDATION is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young women and girls through advocacy, education, mentorship, and community development initiatives. The organization continues to create opportunities that inspire growth, confidence, leadership, and positive social impact within communities.

Driven by the vision of building a thriving world where young women and girls are nurtured to achieve their fullest potential, the Foundation remains committed to creating supportive and empowering environments where beneficiaries can grow, connect, and contribute meaningfully to society.

Through its impactful programs and initiatives, the organization focuses on empowering young women and girls through skills training, awareness campaigns, mentorship, advocacy, and networking opportunities that strengthen their capacity for personal and professional development.
The Foundation also works closely with communities and strategic partners to address the felt needs of marginalized and deprived communities while promoting inclusion, empowerment, and sustainable opportunities for women and girls.

By combining advocacy, mentorship, education, and community engagement, I AM ELISA FOUNDATION continues to inspire hope and create meaningful change in the lives of young women and girls across Sierra Leone.

What started as a vision has turned into a movement dedicated to empowering women and young girls while promoting sustainable communities.
From where we started to where we stand today has been driven by passion, purpose and commitment.

Today marks a significant milestone for I Am Elisa Foundation Sierra Leone as we proudly celebrate one year of service, growth, and transformation.

Over the past year, our journey has been driven by a strong commitment to changing lives, empowering communities, and creating opportunities for a better tomorrow. Through our work, we have reached and impacted individuals across different communities, promoting values of empowerment, education, compassion, and unity.

This anniversary is not just a celebration of time, but a reflection of purpose, resilience, and collective effort. Every milestone achieved has been made possible through the dedication of our team, the support of our partners, and the trust of the communities we serve.

Had the privilege to represent I AM ELISA FOUNDATION-IAEF SL at the Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs for the annual campaign and Generational dialogue to end Digital Violence against all Women and Girls ✊🏾🧡

Theme: “UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls.”

🧡 I AM ELISA FOUNDATION joins the world in marking the Sixteen Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence
November 25 – December 10

At I AM ELISA FOUNDATION, our mission has always been clear:
to protect, empower, and uplift women and girls wherever they are, including online.

This year’s global theme,
🌐 “UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls,”
speaks directly to the realities we witness every day.

Digital violence is not “just online.”
It is real harm with real consequences.

Too many women and girls face:
❌ Cyberbullying and online harassment
❌ Threats and blackmail
❌ Stalking through phones and social media
❌ Hate speech and misogynistic attacks
❌ Violations of privacy and digital exploitation

At I AM ELISA FOUNDATION, we refuse to allow these experiences to be minimized, ignored, or dismissed.

✊🏽 Over these 16 days, we raise our voice louder than ever.
We stand for those who are too afraid to speak.
We stand for those whose stories remain hidden behind screens.
We stand for a world where women and girls are safe offline and online.

🧡 Our commitment at I AM ELISA FOUNDATION:

✔ To create awareness on digital safety and online rights
✔ To support survivors with compassion, confidentiality, and resources
✔ To challenge harmful norms and digital abuse culture
✔ To engage families, schools, and communities in prevention
✔ To advocate for stronger policies and safer digital spaces
✔ To empower women and girls with the tools to protect themselves online

Digital spaces must be places of connection, learning, and growth not fear.

As the Sixteen Days of Activism comes to an end,
we call on everyone — parents, leaders, youth, men and boys, digital users to stand with us.
Let us make the online world safer, kinder, and more accountable for all women and girls.

Because safety is not a privilege.
It is a right.
And at I AM ELISA FOUNDATION, we will continue to defend that right every day.

Today, the I Am Elisa Foundation proudly joins the global community in commemorating the International Day of the Girl Child a day that celebrates the strength, resilience, and leadership of girls everywhere.

Under this year’s theme, “The Girl I Am, The Change I Lead – Girls on the Frontlines of Crisis,” we recognize the critical role girls play in driving change, even in the face of adversity. Their voices, ideas, and leadership continue to shape stronger, more inclusive communities.

On the 1st of MAY 2025, we (I AM ELISA FOUNDATION SIERRA LEONE - IAEF SL) officially launched our organization and opened our office space in the Western Area Rural District-WARDC.

We are thrilled to bring you a movement born out of love, purpose, and a deep desire to make a lasting impact in our communities.

Our vision is to see a thriving world where young women, girls, and children are nurtured to champion the attainment of their fullest potentials.

IAEF-SL serves as a catalyst of change and empower, inspire, and nurture young women, girls, and children to achieve their life dreams.

We create a platform for the inspiration and empowerment of young women, girls, and children in marginalized and deprived communities by promoting opportunities to support, connect, and grow them through advocacy, mentorship, networking and forming strategic alliances with other actors to adress felt needs.

The I AM ELISA FOUNDATION is committed to empowering lives, especially young women and girls. We inspire hope, unlock their potentials, restore dignity, and ignite lasting transformation and impact.

This is more than a foundation. It is a call to action… We believe that every life matters and every voice deserves to be heard and uplifted.
