LET’S SAVE SAIDU NALLO’S SIGHT — AND HIS FUTURE

Saidu Nallo is a promising young man and a 3rd Year BSc student at Njala University, full of dreams, intelligence, and potential. Today, his future hangs in the balance, not because of lack of ability, but because of a medical condition that threatens to take away his sight completely.

Saidu has been diagnosed with Retinal Detachment, a severe eye illness. He has already lost vision in his left eye, and tragically, his right eye has now begun to be affected. Doctors at Connaught Hospital have confirmed that without urgent specialist treatment, Saidu risks becoming totally blind.

He has been referred for further medical intervention in Ghana, where the required surgery and treatment are available. The total cost for his operation and medical care is $7,500, an amount far beyond the reach of a student and his family, but achievable if we come together.

Saidu is bold, smart, energetic, and full of life, a young man who deserves a chance to see again, to complete his education, and to live a dignified life. Blindness at this stage would not only end his academic journey but permanently alter his independence and future.

We are pleading with all Sierra Leoneans and friends of humanity: Let us not watch a bright light fade when we have the power to stop it.
