Awareness! We are full member of UICC (Union for Int

ernational Cancer Control). Thinking Pink was invited to The World Cancer Leaders Summit in Kazakhstan 2019. Our Mission is about The Importance of Early Detection and support underprivileged, marginalised patient's with their treatment options. and help them regain their self-esteem. It is about the mportance of Raising Awareness, prevention and control on a National Level which is vital; Taking the illiteracy level into consideration, curb the myths around Cancer. Raising the Awareness in the Rural areas, Market places, deprived communities, Schools, College/ Universities and Corporate sensitisation is important to our mission. A Health Fair was held on the 5th January 2008 to officially launch TPBCF. Data collected at the Health Fair was alarming 278 participants came forward for Clinical examination, 45 had some form of breast abnormality. We have a membership of 12 including professionals in the medical field and in partnership with The Ministry of Health & Sanitation. We started operations with an office address at 7, Percival Street hiring Five (5) Staff member's including a Nurse, Programme Officer, Admin/finance officer & patient liaison officer as a safe space for women/girl's with any form of Breast Abnormality on March 8th 2012 which is also International Women's Day. We are a proactive Foundation with a mission to vigorously take up the challenges of Breast Cancer in Sierra Leone along side Survivors who tell their stories, and we collect Data. "No one should Die from Breast Cancer because of Geography or poverty." Sierra Leone lacks the infrastructure on Cancer. To date patients have to travel to The sub Region for Radiotherapy treatment, which comes with a very high price tag including ait ticket, lodging, Treatment, Feeding, Medication etc
We only have one (1) Surgical Oncologist and an Oncology Nurrse who received a scholarship from The office of The First Lady to specialize at The TaTa Teaching Hospital in Mumbai, India. We are all one big Family in the fight against Cancer; The inequities in Cancer care is affecting LMICs and its time to bridge the care gap.
is Real.

When leaders recruit talented and bright individuals into their organization, it’s so important to appreciate the value they bring with their expertise and unique perspectives. Rather than just assigning them tasks, let’s create an inviting atmosphere where they feel encouraged to share their insights and ideas. The whole point of bringing in intelligent people is to tap into their skills and innovative thinking, helping us make well-informed decisions and craft effective strategies together. By listening to their voices and fostering open communication, leaders can benefit from their creativity and intelligence, which will help our organization thrive.
