Building Better Communities (BBC) participated in the Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue on the Climate Justice Scorecard in Western Area Rural District (WARDC), convened by Youth Partnership for Peace and Development (YPPD) with support from its partners. The engagement brought together local authorities, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, CSOs, traditional leaders, and other stakeholders to discuss community-identified climate and environmental concerns and strengthen collective action for climate justice.
BBC commended the initiative for creating an inclusive platform where communities and stakeholders could engage directly with relevant authorities. Participants had the opportunity to raise critical questions and receive responses and clarifications from authorities, while the dialogue reinforced the importance of community participation, accountability, collaboration, and collective action in addressing environmental challenges and building resilient communities.
