Know Before You Goโ Anti-Trafficking Campaign Concludes
Today, December 22nd, 2025, we at True Hope Foundation International have successfully concluded Volume One of our โKnow Before You Goโ Anti-Human Trafficking Campaign, an initiative created to prevent human trafficking through early awareness and public education. This campaign, which we will now implement annually every December, ended today in Lumley, Freetown.
On the final day, our outreach focused on Lumley Roundabout, extending along Lumley Beach Road to the Lumley Bus Terminal, one of the busiest transport corridors in the city. We engaged commuters directly, providing practical information on safe travel practices, child protection, and how traffickers exploit increased movement during the festive season through fake job offers and unverified sponsorships.
Throughout the campaign period, we deliberately targeted major transport and commercial hubs across Freetown, ensuring that our prevention messages reached people before they travel, not after harm has already occurred. Our key message remained consistent: verify every travel opportunity, never allow children to travel with strangers, and question any offer that appears too good to be true.
This campaign was implemented under the visionary leadership of our Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Patrick Adeyemi-Buckle, and reflects our continued commitment to combating human trafficking through awareness, prevention, and community engagement.
As we conclude Volume One, we reaffirm our responsibility to protect lives and empower communities. We remain confident that human trafficking is preventable when people are informed, vigilant, and willing to speak out.
