BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Youths in the media organization is a non-partisan, on-religious, not for profit with a mission to assist in solving problem of youths unemployment, early marriage teenage pregnancy, women empowerment, advocating for person with disability, girl child education and youths inclusion in the day to day running of the state.
The Youths in the media was found on 10th January
, 2014 by a group of youths in Freetown, Sierra Leone. After several eye opening discussions on national development, the youth realized that they are highly neglected in issues concerning the country’s development yet they have potentials to speedily develop the nation. This organization aims at advocating for fraternity, recognition as well as the emancipation of children, youths and female through media (Documentary, Drama, TV Talk shows etc.) and community engagement. Youths in the media would also be engaging in implementing projects in various communities disability, also in the area of ; Health,Education,Youths and Women Empowerment, Teenage Pregnancy and Early Marriage, Girl Child Education, Human Rights and Person with Disability.
