🌸 PINK POWER FGM SURVEY CONTINUES IN FREETOWN SCHOOLS 🌸

Pink Power Organization is excited to continue its ongoing Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM) Survey across senior secondary schools in Freetown. This important initiative provides a platform for girls to share their views, experiences, and perspectives on issues affecting their lives and future.

As we visit schools, we are also proud to engage students through the Pink Power School Club, while warmly welcoming our new members into the Pink Power family. The School Club serves as a safe space where girls can learn leadership skills, build confidence, promote gender equality, advocate for their rights, and support one another in creating positive change within their schools and communities.

To all our new and existing members: You are the ambassadors of change. Your voice matters, your leadership matters, and your actions can inspire a brighter future for girls across Sierra Leone. Together, we can challenge harmful practices, promote education, and empower the next generation of young women leaders.

Pink Power FGM Survey Initiative for Senior School Girls in Freetown

Pink Power is currently conducting an important survey among senior secondary school girls across Freetown to better understand their thoughts, opinions, feelings, and personal experiences regarding Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM).

This survey provides a safe and confidential platform for young women to share their perspectives on an issue that continues to impact many lives. We want to assure every participant that all responses will remain strictly confidential, anonymous, and fully protected. No personal information will be disclosed or shared.

The purpose of this research is to gather credible evidence and firsthand insights that will help us assess current attitudes toward FGM and practically determine whether the prevalence of FGM is decreasing among young girls in Freetown.

At just 12 years old, David Turay has faced a pain no child should ever experience. After a tragic accident claimed both his legs and the lives of his parents, David was left broken, alone, and uncertain about the future.

But even in the darkest moments, resilience can still shine.
Today, Pink Power proudly stands with David on his journey of healing, hope, and survival. We are committed to supporting him emotionally, physically, and socially reminding him that he is not alone and that his story does not end in tragedy.

David is more than his pain. He is strong, courageous, and full of potential. Through love, care, and community support, we are helping him find a new family, rebuild his confidence, and believe in tomorrow again.
