As part of efforts to achieve the goal of the Women and Youth Leading Climate Justice Project, supported by Trocaire, Youth Partnership for Peace and Development (YPPD), together with its partners, convened a District Multi-Stakeholder Policy Roundtable on Climate Adaptation Planning in Kambia District on Friday, 31st July, 2026.
The engagement brought together district stakeholders, policymakers, local authorities, civil society actors, and community representatives to strengthen collaboration on climate action. A key focus of the dialogue was the integration of Community Climate Adaptation Plans (CAPs) into the District Development Plan, ensuring that community-driven climate priorities inform local planning and decision-making.
The stage was set as stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to advancing inclusive, locally led climate adaptation. Through meaningful dialogue, renewed partnerships, and concrete commitments, a clear roadmap was established to strengthen climate resilience and accelerate the achievement of the projectโs objectives.
