*Devil Hole Youth Organization Back to School Donation Impacts 150 Children in Devil Hole Community*
The power of advocacy has once again brought hope and opportunity to the children of Devil Hole, as 150 pupils benefited from this year’s Back to School Donation Project.
As Youth Leader of Devil Hole and the brain behind this initiative, I had the privilege of engaging His Excellency, the Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, in a meaningful conversation on the state of education in our community. During our discussion, I presented the challenges faced by school going children in accessing learning materials. With my passionate appeal, the Vice President made an instant and remarkable commitment to fully fund this year’s project.
Thanks to his humanitarian role and timely intervention, the project became a success, providing school bags, books, pens, and other essential learning items to 150 pupils.
Witnessing the smiles of these children and the joy of their parents was truly emotional. At one point, I almost broke into tears seeing over 200 children and parents gathered, each eager to secure supplies that would support their educational journey.
This year’s donation is not just about school materials, it is about giving children the tools to dream bigger, study harder, and achieve brighter futures. It reflects a shared vision of education as the backbone of community development.
For over five years, I have consistently lobbied institutions and individuals to support the educational needs of Devil Hole’s children. This success is proof that consistent advocacy works, and that when leaders connect deeply with grassroots needs, sustainable progress is achieved.
On behalf of the Devil Hole community, I extend heartfelt appreciation to Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh for standing with our children at such a critical moment. His support has strengthened our belief that education remains the greatest equalizer and a pathway out of poverty.
As we continue this journey, the Devil Hole Youth Organization remains committed to advancing education, empowering the next generation, and fostering leadership that is rooted in service and sustainability.
My regards
Youth Leader
