TAKE ACTION!!! TAKE ACTION!!! TAKE ACTION!!!

Sierra Leone is in one of its darkest phases. We are yet to eradicate poverty, and now drug trafficking and abuse is the order of the day. It is vivid that our leaders are turning a blind eye to it, as it is an open secret that it may be benefiting them.

I’m scared but I will do it. I believe that if your dreams don’t scare you, they are not worth fighting for. I am hoping for a drug-free Sierra Leone a country where hopes, dreams, and aspirations are fulfilled, not a nation where these get shattered, collapsed, or devastated at age 16, 17, 19, 20, or 21 etc.

Today, some of you are enjoying ill-gotten wealth from the lives of peasants. I cannot fathom how humans can be so careless toward the lives of others. Do you have to kill someone to make money? Must someone die before you push your agenda?

Don’t forget that whether the killing takes place directly or indirectly, you are still a murderer not found guilty by law, but by God. Those people you are hurting are vulnerable; don’t use that against them. The country is already hard to live in don’t make it a living hell. Or do you want to lead a ghost town?

If you are not benefiting from it, take action. They are someone’s sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, fathers, and mothers. They are depressed because depression is real. The majority of the youths see this as an opportunity to overcome depression. No, it is not.

If not now, when? It is time to stand together for a Drug-Free Sierra Leone for the future of our beloved country where young people can dream, live, and thrive in a safe environment.

Congratulations 🎉 Prezo

Congratulations to Abdul Rahman Bangura, President of Grass Field United Initiative for Development and Education, and Ganda Bassie, Founder and Director of the Child Welfare and Development Project (CWADeP), on their selection to participate in the 2025 Community Solutions Program in the United States.

As Community Solutions fellows, Abdul Rahman and Ganda will join U.S. community leaders to exchange ideas, strengthen their skills, and build partnerships. On their return, they will continue their work improving educational opportunities for young people in Salone to help resist the kush epidemic and build the capacity of Sierra Leoneans to partner with the United States in the future.

We wish them every success on this exciting journey and look forward to seeing the impact of their work when they return.
