The aim is to foster progress and development, this means we aimed at developing the A-Team Sierra Leone and the community in which we found ourselves and the country at large BACKGROUND DEVELOPEMENT OF A-TEAM SIERRA LEONE YOUTH EMPOWERMENT ORGANIZATION GREY BUSH COMMUNITY: A growing community located on the west of the capital city: Freetown, Sierra Leone, having a population size within the ran
ge of 2500-3000 people, dominated with age range of young people of about 75 percent 0-16 years - 17-45 years. Based on scanning of the grey bush community and broad base research studies conducted and facts compiled and analyzed, including a questionnaire survey form design and completed , by various concerns respondents of the various segment classes of people , domiciled within the grey bush community . Secondary data gathered from philanthropist organizations assisting vulnerable and deprived communities, religious organizations and Freetown city council etc. The findings from the various respondents were able to realized that the community is faced with certain basic social challenges like inadequate water supply, flooding issues, dearth of middle level manpower skills training institutions, needs like medical health treatment centers, kindergarten schools, public toilets etc . In the area of economic needs: High level of unemployment, low level of small medium enterprise ( SME ) Business activities etc. A cross section of basic environment dire needs highlighted above, brought to lime light that there was a real need for community stakeholders to hang heads, with an integrated partner A-TEAM SIERRA LEONE YOUTH EMPOWERMENT , that has a mission and vision to improve on HUMAN CAPITAL INDEX AND SOCIAL LIVING CONDITION OF PEOPLE, living within the grey bush community back of National Stadium. A-Team Sierra Leone youth empowerment, in a strive to accomplish its objectives have been engaged in continuous development projects one of such was advocating to her integrating partner in the USA to send chairs for the organization, and to rent such chairs at a reasonable cost , and utilize such funds for developmental projects within the grey bush community.
