Armed Forces Wives Cooperative Society Founded in 1986 by Late Mrs. Beatrice Tarawallie and Mrs. Mary Thoronka who served as the First President and Vice President respectively. General Peter K.

An organization dedicated to bringing together wives of serving soldiers of the RSLAF to promote love, friendship and improve wellbeing and economic status in military barracks. or profit association of wives of serving soldiers of the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces RSLAF. The aim of the organization is to: Forster love and solidarity among its members. Raise awareness on global issues for the well being of the barracks communities

Raise funds to promote programs to improve the general wellbeing and livelihood of the barracks community

Provide mentoring and other programs intended to upgrade and improve on the dignity of members in the barracks.

On 11th March 2026, Mrs. Asanatu Sao Bangura, President of the Armed Forces Wives Cooperative Society and wife of the Chief of Defence Staff, Lt. Gen. Amara Idara Bangura, donated bags of rice and condiments to Muslim and Christian communities in recognition of the Ramadan and Lenten seasons.
The donations were made to mosques and churches in military barracks across the Western Area, as well as to the less privileged, including Muslim teachers of the Beamay Primary and Junior Secondary School owned by the Society.
