Mary Scott Charity Foundation at Menstrual Health Fair 2026

On 28th May 2026, the Mary Scott Charity Foundation proudly participated in the Menstrual Health Fair 2026, organized by GADNET under the theme: "PeriodFriendlySalone Breaking the Taboo, Promoting Menstrual Dignity."

The event provided an important platform to raise awareness about menstrual health, promote proper menstrual hygiene, and advocate for the dignity, well-being, and equal opportunities of girls and women. Through its participation, the Mary Scott Charity Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that empower women and girls, foster education, and help eliminate the stigma associated with menstruation.

The Foundation was honored to engage alongside fellow stakeholders, advocates, and community members in encouraging open conversations on menstrual health and advancing a more inclusive and supportive society for all.

Today, the Mary Scott Charity Foundation successfully conducted an orientation session for its newly recruited volunteers at the Foundation’s office located at 93 Peace Market, Ferry Junction, Freetown. The orientation served as an important platform to introduce the volunteers to the mission, vision, and core values of the organization, as well as the roles and responsibilities expected of them as members of the Foundation.

During the session, volunteers were guided through the objectives of the Foundation and the various ways in which their contributions will support ongoing and future community initiatives. The program also created an opportunity for interaction, learning, and clarification, ensuring that every volunteer clearly understands the organization’s commitment to community service and humanitarian support.

A key highlight of the orientation was the moment when the newly recruited volunteers took a pledge, reaffirming their dedication and commitment to work diligently with the Foundation in achieving its goals and making a meaningful impact in the lives of those in need.
