Our mission !
We are proud as an advocacy organization to have raised our voices on urgent issues, including women’s and girls’ reproductive health, through our 28-day Menstrual Hygiene campaign on Truth 103.9 FM, school engagements, and targeted data collection. To celebrate World Menstrual Hygiene Day, we gathered girls from diverse schools, communities, and backgrounds across the Bombali District. Eager to participate in discussions about their reproductive health, the girls engaged deeply with both the illustrative and practical lessons designed to support their futures. We are thrilled that, by the conclusion of the event, every participant received SheCures reusable pads, period tracker calendars for their homes, TEGA’S menstrual hygiene books, and fresh fruits including watermelon, mango, and pineapple. To conclude the day, they enjoyed Pemahun—a nutritious, local Sierra Leonean dish made of iron-rich leafy greens and fish, perfectly prepared to nourish and strengthen them.
