International Women’s Day, 8th March 2026
Theme: “GIVE TO GAIN”

Today, we join the global community in celebrating the strength, courage, and achievements of women everywhere. At WoDYEO we use this important day to recognise and amplify the voices of women and girls with disabilities, who continue to overcome barriers and contribute meaningfully to their families, communities, and the nation.

The 2026 theme, “GIVE TO GAIN,” reminds us that when we invest in women, through opportunities, support, and inclusion, everyone benefits. By giving women and girls with disabilities access to the resources and respect they deserve, we gain stronger communities, inclusive development, and a more just society.

Women with disabilities deserve:
1) Equal access to education and skills development2) Equal opportunities for employment and leadership3) Access to healthcare and social services4) A life free from discrimination, stigma, and violence

At WoDYEO, we remain committed to advocating for inclusive policies, empowerment programmes, and community awareness that ensure no woman or girl is left behind.

Together, let us give support, give opportunity, and give respect, so that society can truly gain equality, progress, and empowerment for all women and girls.

Happy International Women’s Day 2026!
