On this International Women's Day, we shine a spotlight on the remarkable Theresa M Georgeas Program Manager at Peagie Woobay Scholarship Award Fund. Theresa’s unwavering dedication and innovative approach to her role are advancing the theme for Women's Day: "Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress."

As Program Manager, Theresa spearheads initiatives that directly impact the lives of girls and teenage mothers in Sierra Leone. Through her strategic leadership, she ensures that girls receive the support they need to pursue education and fulfill their potential, despite facing challenges like teenage pregnancy and societal barriers.

Her commitment in providing comprehensive support is evident in her efforts to establish free daycares in pilot towns, enabling teenage mothers to continue their education without interruption.

Through Theresa's leadership and tireless efforts, the Passionate Women's Support Foundation is not just a beacon of hope but a catalyst for change in the lives of girls and women in Sierra Leone.

As we continue to celebrate women, we proudly honor Humu Kanu who works as AIM PROGRAM ASSISTANT LIVELIHOOD at Brac. Humu's dedication and leadership are instrumental in promoting inclusion and investing in women's empowerment.

She is a perfect example of limitless a woman can be and uses her story to inspire the life of other women in the society. Humu continuously plays a crucial role in selected communities and participants, setting up clubs, and mobilizing communities. Her commitment to ensuring inclusivity is evident as she guides and supervises mentor activities, providing regular coaching, mentoring, and training to develop their capacity.

Meet Khadija Kamara, a shining example of empowerment and entrepreneurship. She is a founding member and current public relations officer at Girls' Power Initiative

She is also the program assistant at Brac Makeni under the AIM PROGRAM ASSISTANT LIVELIHOOD, her role embodies the spirit of investing in women. Through her dedication, she inspires and coaches young girls and women in communities, nurturing their growth and success.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Khadija is a visionary entrepreneur and CEO Queen's Tie Dye Wears. Her commitment to providing training for young women in Freetown and Makeni not only fosters economic empowerment but also accelerates progress towards gender equality.

Today, as we embrace the theme "Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress," Khadija's efforts stand as a powerful reminder of the transformative impact of investing in women. 🎉

We are proud to highlight one of our founding member Sarah Tarawally who exhibits exceptional leadership qualities and serves in various roles within our organization. She graduated with BA (Hons) in Social Sciences, specializing in Social Innovation and Development from the University of Glasgow Caledonian University in Mauritius🇲🇺.

Her dedication to social development has led to significant accomplishments, including her mission to create a safe and empowering space for young girls in Sierra Leone. Through mentorship and empowerment programs, she aims to build their confidence and leadership skills, making them valuable contributors to society.
