πŸ“šπŸŽ’ HELP US SEND 500 CHILDREN BACK TO SCHOOL!β€οΈπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡±

Every child deserves the opportunity to walk into a classroom with dignity, confidence, and hope.

This year, The Orphan Empowerment Society Sierra Leone (TOES-SL) is launching the TOES Education Aid Project, with the goal of providing school bags, uniforms, exercise books, textbooks, pens, pencils, shoes, and other essential learning materials to over 500 orphaned and vulnerable children across Sierra Leone.

For many children, returning to school is not just about learning it's about having the chance to dream, grow, and build a better future. Unfortunately, thousands of children are at risk of being left behind simply because they cannot afford basic school supplies.

πŸ’™ You can help change that.

When you support this campaign, you're doing more than donating a backpack or a notebookβ€”you are giving a child the opportunity to learn, believe in themselves, and reach their full potential.

🀝 How You Can Support

πŸ“š Donate school supplies (books, bags, uniforms, shoes, stationery, etc.)
πŸ’° Make a financial contribution of any amount.
πŸ™‹ Volunteer during our community outreach and distribution activities.
🏒 Become a corporate or organizational partner.
πŸ“’ Share this campaign to help us reach more compassionate supporters.

No donation is too small. Together, we can ensure that **every child starts the new school year with hope instead of hardship.

πŸ“ Our Goal: Support 500 orphaned and vulnerable children across Sierra Leone before the new academic year begins.

πŸ“’ PRESS STATEMENT

πŸŒπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡± TOES-SL and Follow The Money Sierra Leone Welcome IMF's US$211 Million Climate Resilience Financing for Sierra Leone

The Orphan Empowerment Society Sierra Leone (TOES-SL) and Follow The Money Sierra Leone welcome the approval of a US$211 million financing package by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to support Sierra Leone's efforts to strengthen climate resilience and address the growing impacts of climate change.

This financing presents a significant opportunity to invest in climate adaptation, disaster preparedness, environmental sustainability, and the protection of vulnerable communities across the country.

Through its Follow The Money Campaign, Follow The Money Sierra Leone will continue to advocate for transparency, accountability, and citizen participation in monitoring climate-related investments and public resources. We believe that climate financing must reach the communities and sectors for which it is intended and deliver measurable benefits for citizens.

πŸ’¬ Amb. Alie Conteh, National Coordinator of TOES-SL and Country Team Lead of Follow The Money Sierra Leone, stated:

"Climate finance must not only be approvedβ€”it must be tracked, monitored, and transformed into tangible results for the people of Sierra Leone. Active citizen participation and accountability are essential to ensuring that these investments strengthen resilience and improve lives."

As Sierra Leone continues to face climate-related challenges, we call on government institutions, development partners, civil society, the media, and citizens to work together to ensure the transparent and effective utilization of these resources.

🌍🌱 WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2026 🌱🌍

Our Environment. Our Rights. Our Future.

Today, The Orphan Empowerment Society Sierra Leone (TOES) and Follow The Money Sierra Leone join millions around the world in commemorating World Environment Day 2026 under the theme:

"Restoring Land, Building Climate Justice."

Climate change is not only an environmental issue. It is a matter of justice, equity, and human rights. Across Sierra Leone, communities are facing the impacts of land degradation, deforestation, flooding, pollution, and climate-related challenges that threaten livelihoods, food security, and sustainable development.

As citizens, we all have a role to play in protecting our environment and holding leaders accountable for the responsible management of natural resources. Together, we can build resilient communities, promote environmental sustainability, and ensure that no one is left behind in the transition to a greener future.

Today, we call on young people, community leaders, civil society, government institutions, and development partners to work together for climate action, environmental protection, and climate justice.
