TOES Hosts Sierra Leone @65 Independence Anniversary Youth Roundtable Dialogue

The Orphan Empowerment Society Sierra Leone (TOES-SL) successfully hosted a Youth Roundtable Dialogue at the Africell–American Corner, Freetown, bringing together institutions, development partners, civil society organizations, private sector leaders, and young people to engage in meaningful discussions on the future of Sierra Leone.

🤝 Young people came together not just to speak but to find solutions to the challenges facing our communities and country.

🔍 Key focus areas included:
• Youth inclusion in governance and decision-making
• Employment, entrepreneurship, and skills development
• Innovation, accountability, and partnerships
• Strengthening collaboration for sustainable impact

This engagement amplified youth voices, strengthened partnerships, and reinforced the power of collective action in shaping Sierra Leone’s development.

🌍 TOES-SL was also proud to join over 150 youth organizations and youth-serving agencies in a broad stakeholder engagement contributing to the development of the National Youth Commission Strategic Plan (2025–2030).

The Orphan Empowerment Society Sierra Leone (TOES-SL) on Friday, April 24, 2026, hosted a youth roundtable discussion aimed at promoting youth participation in national development, bringing together a broad cross-section of young people, private sector representatives, Civil Society leaders and development stakeholders at the Africell-American Corner in Freetown. The event, held under the theme: “Empowering Sierra Leone Youths for National Development,” created a platform for meaningful dialogue on the future of young people in the country, with a focus on encouraging policy conversations, innovative thinking and collaborative solutions to enhance youth inclusion and leadership.

We are proud to share that the Orphan Empowerment Society Sierra Leone (TOES-SL) has been featured in The Calabash Newspaper for successfully hosting a Youth Roundtable Discussion on Empowering Sierra Leonean Youths for National Development.

Held on 24 April 2026 at the Africell–American Corner, Freetown, the roundtable convened a diverse group of government representatives, development partners, civil society actors, private sector leaders, and young people.

💬 The engagement created a platform for meaningful dialogue, policy conversations, and collaborative solutions focused on:
