Twins and Multiple Births Association Celebrates Twins Day with Festivities
The Twins and Multiple Births Association of Sierra Leone held a vibrant celebration for Twins Day, marking the occasion with a spirited march, engaging football matches, and fun-filled activities. The event brought together twins, their families, and community members from across the country, fostering unity and joy.
The celebration kicked off with an exciting march-past that began at Victoria Park and ended at the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Academy. Participants, dressed in matching outfits and vibrant costumes, paraded through the streets, drawing cheers and applause from onlookers. The march aimed not only to celebrate the uniqueness of twins but also to raise awareness about the challenges faced by families with multiple births.
Following the march, a series of friendly football matches took center stage, showcasing the athletic talents of both young and old. Teams made up primarily of twins and multiple-birth participants competed in a lighthearted atmosphere, encouraging teamwork and camaraderie among all involved.
