Today, on Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026, the Girls Skills Training Platform proudly joined the global movement to promote awareness, dignity, education, and open conversations around menstrual hygiene management. 💜🩸
As part of this year’s commemoration, we successfully hosted an impactful Information Session that brought together school-going girls, boys, and young women to learn, engage, and discuss the importance of menstrual health and hygiene.
The session created a safe and inclusive space where participants openly discussed menstruation, hygiene practices, reproductive health, self-care, and the importance of support systems within our schools and communities. One of the most powerful parts of today’s engagement was the active involvement of boys in the conversation reminding us that menstrual hygiene is not only a girls’ issue, but a community responsibility that requires understanding, empathy, and support from everyone.
By involving both girls and boys, we are helping to break myths, reduce stigma, encourage respect, and build a generation that is informed, supportive, and confident in discussing menstrual health without shame or discrimination.
Today was more than just an awareness session; it was a moment of empowerment, education, inclusion, and positive change. Seeing young people actively participate, ask questions, share experiences, and learn together gave us hope for a better and more informed future.
We sincerely appreciate:
