Saturday 30th May was a day with mixed blessings. We observed Menstrual Hygiene Day which was on 28th May. It had been three years since we had such an interactive and educational talk on menstruation. After that, by courtesy of Uman 4 Uman, we distributed reusable pads to all.

We actually resumed psychosocial classes on April 18, after the Easter break. We were busy doing corrections after the end of term test and reference exam.
Last Saturday though, we had a programme tagged, 'Meet the Professionals'. We had only two professions represented - Seamstress and Nutritionist. It was a time of learning, not only about how and why they chose the professions but also about the professions in their own right.
One thing they both said is that we should have more than one stream of income.

We had our Parents Partnership Meeting to end the term after we concluded the day's session. The parents did not turn up as expected but it was a fruitful meeting with one parent testifying about the impact of Hagar's Sanctuary on her daughter's life in every aspect.

We thank God for all he is doing in and through us. We did or end of term General Paper Test to assess the progress of our girls especially during the Psychosocial classes.
As expected, since we make, an impact on the body, mind and spirit of our beneficiaries, we ensure that the right atmosphere for our exams.
After a sumptuous meal of fufu/ɛva and Tola soup, we relaxed with a few indoor games and prayed to break off for Easter.

Yesterday, at the psychosocial session, we concluded our study on the Proverbs 31 Woman. We concluded on the note that all the virtues that make up such a woman is because she fears the Lord. The girls only need to fear the Lord to be women of DIGNITY, PATIENCE, DILIGENCE, GENEROSITY, COURAGE, WISDOM AND DEVOTION.

Imagine a Valentine dinner with nineteen (19) girls. It was nothing short of awesome. The girls were each welcome to their tables with gifts meant for each girl. We had a three-course dinner interspersed with presentation of valentine gifts (They had earlier appointed a Valentine among themselves for the evening). They also did past choreographed dances that took us into the night.
The evening was fun. We did not even continued with other programmes planned for the night.
We are grateful to God for his favour to be supported by friends. We need yours too so we can do more for our beneficiaries.

Today is Valentine's day. The Hagar's Sanctuary ladies and girls are spending the weekend together.
We came last night and are looking forward to an exciting evening with Valentine's day dinner.
