Continuing from our last post.
See the impact our farm has yielded.
This farm project was implemented by NIJ Foundation in April 2025 with the primary goal of improving the standard of living of single-mother farmers by providing them with access to land, farming support, and sustainable livelihoods. In addition, the project contributes directly to feeding less-privileged children, strengthening food security and community welfare.
The visible output highlights the potential of the project to scale up production, create consistent income for vulnerable women, and support social feeding programs. To sustain and expand this impact, NIJ Foundation is seeking strategic support from government especially of agriculture Sierra Leone and private sector partners in the areas of funding, farm inputs, mechanization, storage, and market access.
With adequate support, this initiative can significantly enhance rural livelihoods, promote inclusive agriculture, and contribute to national food security and social development.

Early this year around April, The NIJF embarked on a massive agricultural project in order to empower women farmers in the Kambia District, Madina town. Our aim was simple and direct, to provide job opportunities for single mothers in that region whereby we partnered with them to plant rice 🌾 on a 1 hectare of land and at the end these rice 🌾 upon harvest a portion of it will be given to them as seedlings for them to startup their own farming process.

I am deeply honored and filled with great humility to have been recognized as one of the most outstanding alumni for this year Sierra Leone - United States Alumni Association (SLUSAA) alumni impact award for my continuous contributions to national development in Sierra Leone. This is a testament to dedication, hard work and excellent team spirit. This recognition comes with huge responsibility for an everlasting impact to society and we will continue to threading on that path. Thank you to the US embassy Freetown and to the distinguished ambassador Brian Hunt and to all the staff how have contributed greatly to this event.
