.The Executivr Director of Protect Her-Sierra Leone took part in Civic Day Series 2025 in Bo
The Ministry of Information and Civic Education and its partners, has successfully concluded a two-day national Civic Day Series at the Wizard complex hall in Bo.
The event marked a significant milestone in the government’s drive to decentralize civic engagement and promote citize's participation in governance across the districts. The Civic Series provides a platform for citizens and government officials to engage in open, direct, and sustained dialogue at district's level.
In his remarks, the Minister of Information and and Civic, Chernor Bah highlighted the importance of civic education as a tool to strengthen democracy and empower communities to take part in governance.
Minister of Youth Affairs Ibrahim Sannoh emphasized on the importance of youth employment through technical trainings and anti-drug campaigns. He urged citizens to report anyone found selling Kush and other harful drugs to the appropriate authorities.
The Deputy minister of Gender and Children's Affairs, Boakai Bindi Hindowa emphasized on the importance of including women and children in national decision-making process in Sierra Leone
However, the Information minister
announced that the final phase of competition among the the schools that took part in the Quizzes and debates competitions
of the Civic Series will be held in Freetown after completion the civic engagements across the sixteen districts of Sierra Leone.
