As we reflect on the success of the National Education Champions Awards (NECA 2026), I wish to express my profound gratitude to the individuals, media institutions, and partners whose unwavering support ensured exceptional visibility for NECA before, during, and after the event.

NECA 2026: Three Days to Go — Celebrating Excellence in Education

As we count down to the 7th, the National Education Champions Awards (NECA) 2026 promises a distinguished evening that brings together recognition, culture, policy leadership, and high-quality production in celebration of education in Sierra Leone.

The programme will feature live musical performances by Shady Baby, bringing vibrant energy to the evening, alongside an elegant showcase by the St. Edward’s Jazz Band, highlighting musical excellence rooted in academic tradition. Guests will also enjoy comic performance by Jerry Best, as well as poetry recitals that reflect intellectual depth, critical thinking, creativity, and the expressive power of education.

NECA 2026 will be intellectually anchored by keynote addresses from the Honourable Conrad Sackey, Minister of Basic and Senior Secondary Education, and the Honourable Haja Ramatulai Wurie, Minister of Technical and Higher Education, underscoring the national policy significance of the Awards and reaffirming the central role of education within Sierra Leone’s development agenda.

The ceremony will be professionally guided by our Masters of Ceremonies, Victor Jones of AYV Television and Alice Sesay of SLBC Television, ensuring a seamless, engaging, and nationally resonant event.

In addition, the Red Carpet Session will be hosted by AYV Television, providing high-profile media engagement ahead of the main ceremony. The event will also feature 360-degree camera coverage, alongside full professional video and photographic documentation, ensuring comprehensive media visibility and lasting documentation of NECA 2026.

I once again invite all schools across Sierra Leone alumni associations, education stakeholders, partners and the general public to join us as we honour individuals and institutions whose contributions continue to advance excellence, innovation, and equity in education.
