"Positive Youth – Our Strength, Our Future”
Good evening everyone!
It’s a true honor to speak to you today. My name is Maria Max Conteh—a student, a mother, a believer, and a survivor. And I am here to speak about something I live every single day: being a positive youth.
I want everybody to know: being a positive youth doesn’t mean being perfect. It means never giving up.
A positive youth is someone with a vision. We don’t just dream—WE WORK. We don’t just survive—We STRIVE. We fall, but we rise again. We stay focused, stay faithful, and stay true to who we are.
Let me remind you: You have power. Not just physical strength, but the power to change lives, build businesses, teach others and transform your community.
SO I CHALLENGE YOU ALL TODAY:
SAY YES TO EDUCATION.
SAY YES TO PURPOSE.
SAY YES TO INTEGRITY, TO HARD WORK AND TO LIFTING EACH OTHER UP.
Whether you’re from Western or Eastern, whether you’re rich or struggling—YOU MATTER. Your voice, your actions, your choices—THEY MATTER.
Let’s be the generation that builds, not breaks. That heals, not hates. That leads, not follows.
Together, we are positive youth, and together, we are the hope of Sierra Leone.
Thank you and may God bless you all!
BE A POSITIVE YOUTH OF SIERRA LEONE!!
