Deep Well Ministries Sierra Leone- Providing Water and the Word Elmer is an ordained minister and loves to work with and train other pastors. In 2013 we were led by God to begin a water well ministry in Sierra Leone.

Elmer and Joann Reifel, serving with International Messengers in Sierra Leone (formerly with Christians In Action Int'l) Equipping & Ministering through the Love of God in West Africa for over 22 years. I love helping him with that and also trying to help improve ministry to children within the local church. But we don't want to just be part of 'feeding the soul' but also 'nourishing the body'. W

ith the help of some very special ministry partners we have been able to dig or repair over thirty wells in mainly rural areas of Sierra Leone, West Africa since we started this part of our ministry.

Romans 3:22-24
In the krio language to be saved/redeemed has the meaning of having ones neck freed from the stocks that slavers used to bind their captives with. If a relative came with what was needed to buy the slave back, their neck was 'pulled' from that horrendous contraption and they were free again.

Why would we want to put our necks (and body) back in that bo***ge if we were made free in Christ? Why would we want to remain in bandage to sin when Jesus died to take our place and BREAK those chains??

He is waiting for you to accept His payment.

Those who recieve and read our newsletters are aware that we have been working on a solar water tower for the well we installed in Daru in 2017. This well gets a LOT of use year round, and in the dry season it is under heavy demand by not just the immediate.communuty but even ones outsude Daru! Daru is not a small village. It is a good sized town.

Pump parts are fixed or replaced about three times per year due to the demand. The hope is that with a solar system and pump, and with better quality stainless less plumbing and taps, the repair trips will decrease substantially. Elmer likes to build things sturdy and as secure as possible.

Solar panels are standing by and the local scaffold set up is waiting for Elija, who will install them.

Thank you to all the donors who made this specia project possible. It's our biggest well project yet!

UPDATE:

IT was a scam, actually two scammers.. But I have taken some precautions. NEVER give up a password. I narrowly avoided that mistake.

I would like to inform our followers that there is a chance that FB will close this page down. I am trying to understand if the warning from Meta is legit or not.

Due to changes in FB operations we have not been getting the viewers we once did so the result is that we have used it less to share ministry updates, but we STILL try to keep posts up and interesting when we have special stories to tell. Sometimes it is hard to keep up!

If what we got is fake news (and I thought I would check to know if this was locked down or not) then we will remain intact. I don't know ow if this is related to the phone number someone tried to steal from us. We are still trying in process of resolving that issue.
