Dear Kowa Citizens,

It is my pleasure to drop this little message of appreciation to Councillor Daniel Benya, Madam Cecilia Moifula, my Honourable Member of Parliament Sylvester Boima, Director George from Kowa Youths Foundation and the people of Kowa for maintaining peace and stability throughout the Chiefdom in this festive season. You all have shown how truely you loves this our beloved home.

Following up with updates across all social media handles thanks to Director George, it was proven beyond all reasonable doubt we are a law abiding citizens.

We have again sent a message to our enemies that we are united people and we stand for peace.

Many of us who couldn't chance to spend the 2024 Festive holiday in our beloved Kowa, we really missed a great fun and united sessions.

Let's keep it this way, God be our helper 2025 the fun and enjoying celebrations will be greater.
Let's encourage our brothers and sister to come home and enjoy the moment with our families, friends and love ones.

Youths And Stakeholders Of Kowa Chiefdom Must Give Peace A Chance



In the wake of the 26th January, 2024 violent protest in Kowa chiefdom, Kowa Youths Foundation Sierra Leone (KYF-SL), headed by Mr. Jacques Benya, strongly and utterly condemned the violent act perpetrated by some group of young people in the Chiefdom.

The violence which led to the destruction of properties, firing of life arms and displacement of peaceful citizens is not only a setback to individuals, but a complete retrogression to a chiefdom that is still grappling with so many challenges.

As young people, we must always choose peaceful and respectful dialogue over conflict. Our individual differences should not lead us to the destruction of the little development we have.

However, as youth led organization operating in the chiefdom, we are still calling on all authorities concerned to swiftly and carefully look into the so many complains flagged by the people of Kowa chiefdom concerning the paramount chieftaincy election to avert any future reoccurrence of violence.

The foundation continues to call on all youths and chiefdom stakeholders to maintain peace and unity in the interest of the chiefdom, as we look forward to a free, fair, peaceful and credible election.
