HONOURED TO BE RECOGNISED AMONG THE 100 MOST IMPACTFUL SIERRA LEONEAN LEADERS 2026 🇸🇱
I am deeply humbled and honoured to announce that I have been selected as one of the 100 Most Impactful Sierra Leonean Leaders Award 2026.
This recognition is not only a personal honour, but a reflection of the collective efforts of the communities, colleagues, partners, volunteers, and organisations with whom I have had the privilege to serve and work over the years.
As a development practitioner, humanitarian worker, disability inclusion advocate, and Founder & President of Centre for Social Economic Empowerment and Development Sierra Leone (C-SEED/SL), I remain committed to advancing social and economic empowerment, disability rights and inclusion, WASH, education, health, climate resilience, gender equality, food security, and community development.
My journey has taught me that leadership is not about position or recognition it is about service, sacrifice, resilience, and creating opportunities for others to thrive.
I dedicate this recognition to every person and community who continues to believe in the possibility of a better and more inclusive Sierra Leone. 🇸🇱

I am deeply honoured and excited to announce that the Centre for Social Economic Empowerment and Development in Sierra Leone (C-SEED/SL) has officially been accepted as a Full Member of the World Patients Alliance (WPA). This recognition marks an important milestone in our continued commitment to promoting patient rights, health equity, community empowerment, and improved access to quality healthcare services for vulnerable populations in Sierra Leone and beyond.
On behalf of C-SEED/SL, I sincerely thank the Board of Directors of the World Patients Alliance for approving our membership application and welcoming us into this prestigious global network of patient advocates and healthcare organizations.
As a member of WPA, we look forward to:
• Strengthening patient engagement and empowerment
• Promoting patient-centered healthcare systems
• Advocating for safe, equitable, and innovative healthcare services

*C-SEED/SL at the AU-ECOSOCC Conference in Freetown 🇸🇱*
On 24th April 2026, our Educational Manager, Sheku Santos Kamara, represented C-SEED/SL at the African Union Economic, Social and Cultural Council (AU-ECOSOCC) Conference held at Sierra Palms Hotel, Freetown — on behalf of our Country Director, Mr. Abdul Rahman Edward Koroma.

Under the theme "Reimagining a Just and Resilient Democracy in Sierra Leone," the conference brought together civil society organizations, government representatives, and development partners to deliberate on strengthening democratic governance.

Rule of Law & Accountability — upholding independent, effective institutions
Civic Engagement — empowering youth and marginalized groups in democracy
Transparency & Good Governance — building trust between citizens and government
Peace & Stability — conflict prevention and peaceful political transitions
These outcomes directly align with C-SEED/SL's mission to promote civic education, community empowerment, and democratic values at the grassroots level. We remain committed to contributing to a Sierra Leone that is just, inclusive, and resilient. 🙏
