Today, the Centre for Social Economic Empowerment and Development (C-SEED/SL) proudly joins the world in celebrating International Women’s Day, recognizing the strength, resilience, and invaluable contributions of women and girls in Sierra Leone and across the globe.

At C-SEED/SL, we believe that empowering women is key to building resilient communities, sustainable livelihoods, and inclusive development. Women are leaders, caregivers, entrepreneurs, farmers, and change-makers who continue to drive progress in our communities despite many challenges.

Through our programs in women’s economic empowerment, community development, environmental protection, and financial inclusion such as Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), we remain committed to supporting women and girls to realize their full potential and actively participate in decision-making and development processes.

On this important day, we call on government, development partners, civil society, and communities to continue working together to promote gender equality, protect women’s rights, and create more opportunities for women and girls to thrive.

Let us continue to invest in women, uplift their voices, and champion a future where every woman and girl can live with dignity, opportunity, and equality.

Dear Borderless Africa Champion,

Last month, we celebrated reaching 10,000 signatures on the Borderless Africa petition. This milestone shows the power of our collective voice across the continent. Now it’s time to turn those signatures into real actions.

Here’s how you can help push this movement forward:

Share the petition with your family, friends, and community — every share brings us closer to millions.

Start conversations in your neighborhood, workplace, or online groups about why free movement and trade matter for Africa’s future.

Join local groups or online discussions to organize and amplify our call for policy change.

This is the petition link — please invite your family, friends, and community to sign and join the movement: https://bit.ly/borderlesspetition

Together, we can turn ink into impact, and signatures into solutions. Every voice, every share, every action counts.

In solidarity,
