As part of the plenary session "Growing up in an Inclusive Europe", dedicated to the importance of youth voices, Mariam Tartusy, Mariam Tartusy former Board Member of the No Hate Speech Network and current Bureau Member of the Advisory Council on Youth of the Council of Europe, represented the No Hate Speech Network online.

Her contribution focused on the impact of hate speech on young people's participation and democratic engagement, the importance of prevention, education and media literacy, and the need for meaningful youth participation in the development of policies and initiatives aimed at combating hate speech and strengthening inclusive societies.

As highlighted during the intervention: "Young people are not only future citizens. We are already part of society now."
