🌿 Back from Slovenia, and still full of inspiration! 🇸🇮
Alex, Dalibor, and Eponine recently joined the training course “S.E.N.S.E – Sustainability. Empowerment. Networking. Skills. Education”, which took place from 24–31 March 2026 at Sunny Hills of Istria.
Alongside youth workers from 10 different European countries, they spent a week exchanging ideas, learning from each other, and exploring new approaches to working with young people through sustainability, leadership, and facilitation. 💡
The training offered a rich mix of practical tools and hands-on experiences, with a strong focus on tackling environmental challenges in youth work. One of the most impactful aspects was the connection to ecovillages — real-life communities where sustainability is part of everyday life. These spaces showed how ecological, social, cultural, and economic values can come together, creating meaningful learning through participation and shared responsibility.
Through non-formal education, teamwork, and immersive activities, participants discovered fresh ways to encourage inclusion, cooperation, and environmental awareness. The project also helped build strong connections between youth organisations, ecovillages, and sustainable initiatives across Europe.
As a partner organisation, this experience reinforces our dedication to rural development and empowering young people to take part in sustainable change. We are coming back with new energy, valuable connections, and plenty of ideas for what comes next. 🌍
A heartfelt thank you to Yes To Sustainability Network for making this journey possible and to Sunny Hills of Istria for the warm welcome and inspiring environment!
