BUNKA je mobilná platforma primárne určená na prezentáciu súčasného umenia a kultúry vo verejnom priestore. Ako živý organizmus sa neustále vyvíja a mení. Dôležitým faktorom je miesto, v ktorom je BUNKA umiestnená. Miesto, kde prichádza k vzájomnej interakcii okolia a BUNKY, k re-definícii alebo k znovuobjaveniu potenciálu. BUNKA chce byť štartérom a aktivátorom vedomého hľadania identity miesta,
uvedomovania si jeho hodnoty. Je snahou o „zaplnenie“ medzier nielen urbánnych, ale aj mentálnych a časových. Tieto miesta postupne spontánne vyhľadáva a odkrýva. Cieľom pôsobenia Bunky je tak definovanie a overovanie limitov urbánneho medzipriestoru cez kritické nastolenie otázok odkrývajúcich hranice súčasného mesta. Bunka dáva možnosti pre uplatnenie formátov ako sú výstavy, performance, divadlo, filmové a videoartové projekcie, autorské prezentácie, viacúrovňové diskusie, čítačky, happeningy, eventy, ktoré sú prostriedkom komunikácie vo verejnom priestore o verejnom záujme. Iniciuje stretnutie diel vysokého výtvarného umenia s "obyčajnými" rovnako hodnotnými užívateľskými činnosťami. Prostredníctvom týchto formátov má ambíciu stimululovať a oživovať sociálnu výmenu, formulovať a zhodnocovať stagnované body verejného záujmu. Vznik projektu BUNKA pre súčasnú kultúru inicioval začiatkom roku 2011 Daniel Dida, v tom čase ešte študent vizuálneho umenia na Vysokej škole výtvarných umení v Bratislave. Zoskupil okolo seba študentov Ľudmilu Horňákovú, Martina Kalusovú, Mária Trnovskú a Juraja Gábora reflektujúcich prostredníctvom vizuálneho umenia a architektúry hodnoty verejného priestoru. Spoločne založili oz tab_lab, organizačne zabezpčujúci projekt Bunka. The BUNKA (CELL – in English translation) is a mobile platform designed primarily for the presentation of contemporary art and culture in public space. Like a living organism it is constantly evolving and changing. An important factor is the place where BUNKA is located. Place, which becomes the interaction point between the space and BUNKA, and leads to re-definition or to rediscovery of its potential. BUNKA wants to be a starter and an activator of conscious search for the space identity and for awareness of its value. It attepts to "fill" the gaps not only in urban, but also mental and time terms. BUNKA is gradually and spontaneously searches for such blind spots and uncovers them. The action of cells to define the limits of urban and verification of the cavity through the establishment of critical issues odkrývajúcich current city limits. The main goal of BUNKA is to provide opportunities for application of formats such
as exhibitions, performances, theater, film and videoart projections, author’s presentations, multi-level discussions, readings, happenings, events, that are all means of communication in public space about public interests. BUNKA initiates a meetings of high art objects with "ordinary" user activities of same valuable. Through these formats BUNKA has an ambition to revive and stimulate social exchange; formulate and appreciate stagnant points of public interest. Creation of BUNKA project for contemporary culture was initiated in early 2011 by Daniel Dida, who was at the time still a student of visual arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava. He grouped around himself students such as Ľudmila Horňáková, Martina Kalusová, Maria Trnovská and Juraj Gábor with common interest to reflect through visual art and architecture values of public space. Together they founded oz tab_lab, that supports BUNKA project from organizational point of view.
