Abbreviation MUN stands for Model United Nation, an exact academic simulation of the United Nations, that aims to educate participants about civics, effective communication, globalization and international diplomacy. Participants discuss contemporary world issues from the point of view of the country to which they are assigned to represent. Participants research a country, take on roles as diploma
ts, investigate international issues, debate, deliberate, consult, and then develop solutions to
world problems. Our Bratislava MUN conference proceeds in the spirit of real UN conference, starting with the opening ceremony, continuing with debates in several committees and finally ending by discussing a specific topic in the General Assembly. As we are aware of the graveness of this event and its international basis, we want to appeal to you, dear foreign students, because we think your presence will contribute to the importance and popularity of the BratMUN conference.
