SWAP WEEK is starting in just a few days!
From 7–13 September 2026, SWAP WEEK is bringing together people, clothes and communities across Slovakia to celebrate swapping — and to give clothes a chance at a new life.

Instead of buying something new, you can bring pieces you no longer wear and exchange them for something new to you. It’s a simple way to keep clothes in circulation for longer and rethink how we enjoy fashion.

Want to join? Check out all the swaps happening during SWAP WEEK at swapnito and find one near you!

At SEQ, we love swapping too. We even had our own Erasmus+ project, Swap_Xchange, dedicated to making clothes swapping more accessible and encouraging more circular ways of enjoying fashion.
Even though the project has now ended, we’re still trying to support and be part of this initiative whenever we can.

📍 The closest SWAP event we are visiting is happening at Sekáč~vintageshop~upcycling on 25 September!

Come join us, bring some pieces you no longer wear, swap them for something new to you — and if you’re around, come say hi!

Slowing down and looking closer at what’s happening around us.

We took part in the Rosnička event, where we had the chance to present our work, explore the local Design Market, and discover what other small businesses and initiatives are creating in the community.

Slow travel is also about this — choosing to stay curious, connect with local people, support small-scale initiatives, and experience a place beyond the usual tourist spots. Sometimes, simply paying attention to what’s happening right where you are can lead to something new.

This experience was made possible through the Eco Rangers project, supported by Erasmus+

Our next learning module is now live!

This time, we’re exploring REDUCE — one of the 5R principles of sustainable living.

In this module, children discover simple ways to reduce waste and consumption in their everyday lives. They’ll learn that small choices can make a difference—from turning off the tap while brushing their teeth, to playing with the toys they already have, or choosing reusable options when packing food.

Curious to learn more? Explore the new module, watch the video, and try the activities together!

Learning, playing, sharing ideas… and making new plans!
Educators, social workers, and community workers came together at the Community Centre in Vyškovce, a place supporting children, young people, adults, and seniors in the local community.
This time, they became learners themselves!

Together, we explored the educational programme developed through our Gray Grows Green project, talked about how its activities could be adapted to their own community work, and – of course – put one of our favourites to the test: the CO₂ game!
And the verdict? They loved it! 😊

There was plenty of laughter, discussion, strategising and learning along the way. But what made us happiest was what happened afterwards: participants immediately started thinking about where, when and with whom they could use the game and other workshop ideas in their everyday programmes.

And they had one big request for us:
🇭🇺 Could the CO₂ game be available in Hungarian too?
With Hungarian-speaking communities in Vyškovce and across southern Slovakia, this would make the game accessible to many more people.
And you know what?
We’re doing it!
Work on the Hungarian version will start very soon. Stay tuned!

A big thank you to Erasmus+ 🇪🇺 for making this kind of learning, sharing and further development possible.

Registration is now open for !
This autumn, more than 1,000 environmental educators, researchers, practitioners, and changemakers will come together in Portland, Oregon, for the NAAEE 2026 Annual Conference & Research Symposium.

The North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) is a global network of networks and an umbrella organisation for environmental education, connecting people and organisations working across the United States and around the world to strengthen environmental education and its impact.

And we are very happy that our Gabi from Slovak Eco Quality will be there! 💚

Gabi has received a scholarship to attend  and will bring several pieces of our European work to the international environmental education community:
🏡 NEB-YC – sharing how the New European Bauhaus concept is being brought into youth centres in Slovakia and other European countries, connecting sustainability, inclusion, creativity, and community.
🎒 Eco Rangers – Journeys of Impact – exploring what it means to become a green, sustainable and mindful traveller who cares for themselves, the Earth, local communities, and the people they meet along the way.
🌱 Tiny Greens – showing how storytelling, games and playful learning can introduce children aged 5–10 to waste management, circular economy, and sustainable everyday choices.

🇪🇺 All three initiatives are made possible with the support of the European Union, and we are excited to bring these experiences, methods, and lessons from Europe into a global conversation on environmental education.
The programme will offer workshops, field trips, networking, research, inspiring practice, and plenty of opportunities to connect with environmental educators from around the world.

Wellbeing can look different for everyone.

Sometimes it means taking a break, spending time with people we love, being in nature, moving our bodies, creating something, getting enough sleep—or simply giving ourselves permission to pause. Other times, it can mean talking to someone, setting boundaries, asking for help, or finding ways to cope with what life brings.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to mental wellbeing. What matters is finding what helps you feel grounded, supported and more in balance.

And we’re happy to share some exciting news! 🎉
We’re pleased to announce that we’ve received support from Impact Lab by Nadácia Pontis to implement our new project “Zóna pohody: mladí v rovnováhe”.

Starting September 1, 2026, we’ll be working to support the mental wellbeing of young people in Slovakia and create more space for conversations, practical tools and activities that can help young people take care of their wellbeing and find balance.

Stay tuned for more information about the project and what’s coming next!

Our materials focused on mental health and wellbeing were developed through our Erasmus+ projects Strategize YOU(r)th Journey To Wellbeing! and Empower Yourself 2 Advocate for Wellbeing.

📚 Obsahuje metodické usmernenia a 12 praktických vzdelávacích aktivít zameraných na udržateľnosť, environmentálnu gramotnosť, digitálne zručnosti, spoluprácu a aktívne zapojenie do života komunity.

Program je voľne dostupný na našej stránke a môžete ho využiť vo svojej vzdelávacej praxi.

Čoskoro pribudne aj v angličtine a češtine 😌
