⏰ REMINDER

Projekt vodi EMC Club (Entrepreneurship Movement Club) v sodelovanju z evropskimi partnerskimi organizacijami, ki so zavezane vključujoči in mladim usmerjeni podpori podjetništvu.

Toolkit bo brezplačno in odprto dostopen.

This week the Erasmus+ project SHIFT: From Solo to Startup Success held its kick-off meeting in Vilnius, Lithuania, bringing together its partner organisations EMC - Entrepreneurship Movement Club (Slovenia), AKTYVISTAI (Lithuania) and EDUMANSHA (Portugal), under the Small-scale partnerships in youth action.

SHIFT addresses a common situation across Europe: many young self-employed people, migrants and underrepresented groups work as freelancers without clear options to grow into sustainable startups and job creators. The project strengthens these freelancers, especially youth, migrants and underrepresented groups, by supporting their transition from self-employment to startup development through entrepreneurial, business and digital innovation skills.

The project will focus on the following key activities:
- Development of the “Freelancer-to-Startup” Toolkit, a modular learning resource with five core modules on business modelling and productisation, lean startup and digital innovation, financial literacy and funding strategies, growth and scaling, and leadership and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Training of youth workers and support professionals to effectively guide and mentor self-employed young people in the startup development process.
- Organisation of local SHIFT Bootcamps in each partner country, providing practical startup-building experience and transnational exchange for at least 45 diverse young participants.
- Development of an online SHIFT platform that will host the Toolkit, learning resources and opportunities for freelancers, mentors and startup ecosystem actors.

During the kick-off meeting in Vilnius, partners outlined the operational framework of the SHIFT project, covering task distribution, expected results, evaluation procedures and communication channels. The meeting established a clear working structure that will guide the development of the Freelancer-to-Startup Toolkit, the training activities, the SHIFT Bootcamps and the online platform.

The project SHIFT: From Solo to Startup Success is co-financed by the Slovenian National Erasmus+ agency MOVIT and the European Union under the Erasmus+ Programme.

🌍 After 13 months of collaboration, research, training and creativity, the Upskilling Generation Net Zero - GenNZ project is coming to a close!

This week, we held the final dissemination webinar, where partners European Sustainability Academy - ESA Crete and EMC - Entrepreneurship Movement Club, participants and educators came together to share results, experiences and success stories from both Slovenia and Greece.

Over the past year we:

✅ Carried out surveys and focus groups with professionals in Slovenia and Greece to understand the current challenges and opportunities.

✅ Designed a practical teaching framework with clear Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs) for sustainable tourism.

✅ Piloted the framework in our first GenNZ Summer School where participants learned how to put ideas into action.

✅ Brought together students, educators, entrepreneurs and industry leaders to share knowledge and inspire each other.

🎓 Next, we look forward to celebrating with our colleagues from Greece at the Graduation Gala in Crete this October. It will be a moment not only to recognize what we achieved together, but also to look ahead to new opportunities for building green skills in Europe’s tourism sector.
